Year 9 students have completed a cook off challenge. The students planned and budgeted a two course meal costing no more than £5, which was taste tested by Mrs Carr.
Jack M and Ged worked together to make Tinga chicken with sweet potatoes and tomatoes followed by pancakes. Jack H and Kieran worked together and made a chicken pot pie and a dark chocolate puff pastry roll. Both teams worked extremely hard and showed excellent food hygiene and cooking skills.
It was a very close competition but the Tinga chicken won the mains category due to fantastic presentation and the dark chocolate puff pastry won the desert category after being described as ‘super tasty’.
